Eight Steps. One Standard.
Every step exists to protect the same thing: the standard that makes the network worth being in. Vetting is run by former sector heads, the assessment is paid, and nothing about compensation or expectations is left vague.
A short introductory questionnaire focused on real experience, the desk, the deals, the judgment. No cover letters; practical experience carries more weight than pedigree.
The team reads every application against the role's standard. Reviews are run by practitioners, former sector heads and portfolio managers, not keyword filters.
A real-world assignment reflecting the actual work, deal-level analysis, model review, or workflow design, completed on the candidate's own time. Candidates receive compensation for passing the test.
To protect the security and integrity of the network, every applicant verifies their identity, a phone number confirmed by text message, then a government-ID check through a trusted identity-verification partner.
Depending on the campaign matched with, additional steps may be required before starting, a recorded expert interview or a domain-specific assessment. If required, instructions arrive directly by email.
Approved candidates receive an email invitation to officially join the network. Contract signature and direct-deposit details are completed in Qofi Reserve, with Stripe and Gusto as the trusted payment partners, before the first engagement begins.
NDA and conflict screening, then tooling setup, Qofi Press for contribution and review, Qofi Reserve for engagements, hours, and payments. Training resources cover data-labeling techniques and model-improvement methods, with an introduction to the network's private Slack community for knowledge sharing and engagement notifications.
Work remotely on your own schedule. Every hour is tracked in Qofi Reserve and paid weekly via direct deposit, with rate increases available for tenure and added responsibility.
Qualities of Qofi Contributors
Exceptional, hands-on experience leading deals and analysis, the multi-case sensitivities, exit scenarios, and underwriting judgment that come from real time on the desk.
Above-average initiative and sharp critical thinking, the instinct to question assumptions, find what matters, and push the work further without being told.
The ability to learn quickly, essential for working at the intersection of finance and AI alongside frontier thinkers, where the tools and the standard keep moving.
Preparing for the Assessment
The technical assessment mirrors a real engagement, same tools, same standard, same review. Candidates who treat it like desk work pass it like desk work.
A quiet block of time, a real keyboard, and a stable connection. The assessment is completed on the candidate's own schedule, pick the window where the work is sharpest.
Every assessment ships with training resources and tooling guides. Reading them first is not optional, the rubric assumes it.
Graders are former sector heads reading for judgment, not just answers. State assumptions, flag uncertainty, and write the way a memo would read.
Timeboxes are part of the test, deal work has deadlines. Finishing a clean 90% beats an unfinished 110%.
Weekly Payouts
Track your time with a simple digital timer and get paid out weekly. No complexity, no invoicing, no chasing.
Membership Does Not End After the Engagement
Being part of Qofi is not one project and out. The more an expert contributes, the more their skills and track record get them tapped for new opportunities, and repeated engagement compounds into better matches, higher rates, and a standing place in the network.
